Accepting College Scholarship Applications


The Liederkranz Grant Fund is accepting German Language or German Cultural college scholarship applications. Please apply by February 6. 


  • The German Language Scholarship Application may be completed by any local area high school senior who has studied German. Selection will be based upon academic achievement and proficiency with speaking German. This application is available to all area high school seniors (Liederkranz membership of a parent or grandparent is not required).


  • The German Cultural Scholarship Application may be completed by high school seniors who are a child or grandchild of a Lancaster Liederkranz member. Selection will be based upon academic achievement and commitment to German culture through volunteering and/or participation at the Liederkranz.  


2026 Membership Renewals:

  • We extend a grace period to renew through February. Beginning March 1, a late fee of $35 per person will be applied. Details and links below. Please renew by February 28.

Club Bar & Dining Hours:

  • Bar Hours: Mon & Tue 4-10pm, Wed & Thu 4-11pm, Fri & Sat 4pm-12am, closed Sun unless special event.
  • Food Service: Wed-Sat, 5-8:30pm (1st Thu meeting night 5-7pm)
  • Outside Food is not permitted at any time on days the Club is serving food.

Please Note:

  • No dogs permitted on premises; all inside and outside areas.
  • Be prepared to show your membership card when requested.
  • Ask your guests to be prepared to show their ID.
  • Guests are permitted 3 visits within the calendar year before membership is required. Note: the 3 visit rule is waived when a membership application is received.
  • Members are not permitted to enter the kitchen during dinner hours. Additionally, if you have a project requiring the Chef or kitchen use, please reach out to trustee, Dave Kemmick.
  • Smoking on the Deck is limited to only those times when the ballroom is not in use for dining or any other event during cold-weather months of December through March.

Reservations:

  • Reserve on Touch Bistro. Reservations are preferred and very helpful to the kitchen staff.
  • Reservations may be made up to 2 hours prior to requested time. Your table will be held for 30 mins, after which time it will be forfeited.
  • While you may arrive early to socialize and enjoy cocktails, food orders will be taken at the time of your reservation.
  • Tables seat up to 8 people. If your group is larger, simply create a 2nd reservation and note in Special Requests that you would like to be seated together or near each other.

*Friday, 1/16 - Alpenrose Schuhplattler Spaghetti Dinner Fundriser. No regular menu service on Friday. Reservations are not required.

Please support the Schuhplattlers at their annual fundraiser event. The regular dinner menu will not be available this evening.

Opening at 2:30 for playoff games and at 4pm on February 8, Super Bowl Sunday.

In keeping with German culture, we celebrate two traditional Lenten events at the Club, Fasching & Lumpenball. Also included is a children's Fasching event. Come celebrate and and have fun with us!

Children's Fasching Event

Children will learn about German Karnival season, make a fun Fasching craft, and march in a "parade" in the clubhouse.

  • Donations from all attendees (members & guests) will be collected to cover Club supplied food & beverages.

Accepting Firewood: Bring your Christmas tree or other clean firewood (no hardware). Look for drop off signs at the pavilion.


Covered Dishes by Members: In addition to Club brats & hot dogs, we ask that members bring snacks, appetizers, covered dishes, and desserts for sharing. We will have outlets for crock pots and serving utensils.


We Remember: Bring a photo of a loved one affected by cancer for our board. In memory, fighting or surviving.

  • We will have a collection box for donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in memory of Steve Feilmeier and the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society in memory of Steve Jones, Eisfest co-founders.
  • Cash or checks to PANCAN or Leukemia/Lymphoma Society accepted. Cash will be split and a cashier's check will be mailed to each.

Movie Nights

No Charge - Free Popcorn!


Movie nights offer an enjoyable way to immerse in German culture. Films are shown in the ballroom free of charge. Most selected films are shown in German language with English subtitles to ensure everyone can fully appreciate the story.


For those interested in dining prior to the screening, dinner reservations are encouraged. Free popcorn during the movie!

Ryan Sheaffer Performing at Evergreen

Our sister German club, Evergreen Country Club, is featuring Liederkranz member, Ryan Sheaffer, on their entertainment schedule.


Liederkranz members are invited to hear Ryan perform acoustical hits from the 60s-90s from 6:30-9:30 on the 23rd. No charge for entertainment. Dinner service is available.

Three Visit Rule

We encourage members to bring guests to the Club.

  • All visitors of goodwill are welcomed in a spirit of Gemütlichkeit.
  • Guests, after three visits within the calendar year, must apply for membership to continue entering the Club.
  • The three-visit rule will be waived to guests with membership applications in process.


Daily Book & Pull Tabs

  • The Daily Book may be signed by members only during Bar operating hours.
  • Member must be in the Clubhouse at the time of signature.
  • Winner does not need to be present at the time of drawing.
  • Only age 21 or older may operate the pull tab machine and play the games.
