German Life Subscriptions Available through the Liederkranz
German Life is a bi-monthly magazine that features life in German speaking countries and often includes articles about German events in the U.S. like Oktoberfest. The annual group rate is $19.95 which is a savings of $5.00 over regular subscriptions.

Alpenrose Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

The annual Schuhplatter dinner is back in the Club this year! Takeout will also be offered. We are requesting sign-up for both options. See below.

NOTE: Details have changed from info published in the Jan/Feb bi-monthly newsletter. Guests welcomed!

Dine-In OR Takeout between 5-8pm
   - Pay at the door (price inclusive)
   - $12 - Adult (12 & older) and $5 - Child (age 3-11)

 Takeout Notes: 
    - Adult-priced meals only for takeout. No child-sized takeout.
    - Takeout meals to be picked-up in the Club lobby.
    - Takeout includes: Spaghetti, Meatballs, Garden Salad, and Bread.

- If you want to dine-in and also take a meal home with you, sign-up separately for each.

Eisfest

  • Member only event. Guests must be accompanied & signed-in by a member.
  • Bring snacks or covered dishes to share. We have plenty of outlets for crock pots!
  • Guests: $5/ea entrance fee
  • Members & Guests: Donations collected to cover beverage & brats expenses.
  • The Club will close at 6pm. No evening bar or dinner service.
  • We are now accepting Christmas trees and clean firewood (no upholstered furniture). Look for drop-off signs at the Pavilion.

Eisfest is sponsored by Friends of Steve Feilmeier. Donations will be taken at the fest to benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in memory of Steve and all Club families affected by cancer.

Kinder Fasching

For Children up to age 12 - Sign-up is required
- Event is free for children & grandchildren of the club up to and including 12 years of age.
- Children will learn about German Fasching, sample fair foods, make a fun costume, and march in a "parade" inside the clubhouse!
- Parents must stay in the club.

Three fine, yet uncommon, beers from the Staatliches Hofbräuhaus are now available at your favorite bar, along with the popular Oktoberfest.

Dunkelweizen wheat beers are brewed as darker versions of hefeweizen with deliciously complex malts and a low balancing bitterness. Creamy and full-bodied, most Dunkelweizen are medium amber to amber-brown and appear slightly murky from the weizen yeast. As described by the brewery, “To a relaxed end of the day in the beer garden, the Hofbräu Schwarze Weisse is like the traditional decorative costume jewelry (‘Charivari’) adorning a pair of lederhosen. The amber dark color, the creamy head and a fine malty bouquet will delight seasoned grown men and everyone else who prefer a wheat beer with a strong character”. Top fermented wheat malt, Munich malt, and light barley malt are brewed with an intensive infusion method and 14 IBUs of Herkules and Perle provide the hops balance to this 5.1% ABV quaffer...
