May 16 Takeout
We had a beautiful day and another successful takeout event on the 16th. Thank you to all who participated. A special thanks goes to Maria for her parking lot, accordion serenade throughout the day. And of course, thank you to our president, Glenn Yanos and to all of his dedicated volunteers for organizing the experience. Above, Vice President Renate McElheny serves up some schnitzel.
We look forward to offering another takeout in June. Stay tuned!
Work continues at the Club
Our Trustees, along with a few Volunteers, continue to see that important work continues at the Pavilion and Clubhouse during our shutdown. Click Here for a list of recently completed projects .

Note : The Trustees are looking for a few agile members to help with Pavilion roof work (you will be up on the roof .) If you are interested in learning more or volunteering to help, please contact Heat Trustee Mike Reitmeyer .

Member Tom Yentch recently stopped by to tend to the Liederkranz gardens and herb bed.
Shout Out to our Coronavirus Warriors
The following members have been busy making face-masks for distribution where needed: Kathy Buckwalter & daughters: Hannah, Sophie & Grace, Wanda Parks, Gwen Phillips, Barbi Stanavage and Joyce Herr. If you reach out to any of these ladies to receive masks, remember, donations are welcome to help support the purchase of their supplies.
Fun tidbits to occupy a little of your idle time
Recipe corner from Club President, Glenn Yanos:
  • Try a takeout meal favorite adapted from recipes in the Liederkranz Chorus Cookbook:
  • German Beef Rouladen
  • Our German language classes had to be cut short by one lesson due to our March closing. We thank our teachers, Joyce Herr & Becca Richter for offering the classes. We hope to offer them again next year. Check out this Meet the Germans Youtube for a look at the funny side of German language.
  • Here's a how-to video with an idea on how to Create a Custom Mask which will coordinate with your wardrobe (no translation needed...sense of humor required.)
