PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Last week we welcomed Greg McGarity, CEO of the Gator Bowl. He educated us on how important the Gator Bowl is, not only for Jacksonville, but the surrounding area. He talked to us about this past year's issues with COVID and how the process went in order to fill Texas A&M’s open spot in a relatively short period of time. There are certain criteria to meet when participating in and hosting a bowl game. It’s more than just a school’s record. Many conferences and associations are involved and with everything else, it goes down to ratings.

This past year the Gator Bowl exceeded expectations and the event turned out to be a big success under the circumstances at that time. So congratulations to the Gator Bowl team.

This Thursday, we have our first member hangout at Culhane’s Irish Pub in Tinseltown just off of Southside Blvd. There are still some Hockey tickets left for the family hockey night on March 12, and don't forget to get signed up for the Meet-a-Member Mega Event on March 24 at Apollo Packaging where they are teaming up with Dumpster Crushr of Florida. You don’t want to miss this major networking social where you can showcase your business. See everyone Wednesday!

SBMC FAMILY NETWORKING NIGHT

Join us for an SBMC Family Networking Night at the Vystar Veteran's Memorial Arena as the Jacksonville Icemen take on the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Saturday, March 12^th at 7 pm. Tickets are only $15.00 and you can purchase them here!

ANNUAL WINE RAFFLE

Hooray! Our Annual Wine Raffle is here again! One week remaining, to purchase tickets at the Early-Bird Special of only $15. The price will then go to $20. Ticket prices will be $25 in the month of April! So get your tickets early!

The drawing will be held April 13th for Three lucky winners with a 50%-30%-20% split of wines.

Our goal this year is to get 100 bottles donated & sell 100 tickets!

MEET A MEMBER MEGA EVENT

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of our Meet A Member Mega Event!

Apollo Packaging and Dumpster Crushr of Florida are co-hosting this Mega event! Come join us for a networking social and meet with fellow SBMC members and some new potential customers. This Meet-A-Member is different than others because you'll have the opportunity to show off your business. Bring a table and marketing material -- all we ask for is a fee of $20.00 to exhibit and only $5.00 to attend. General attendance with no table is $5 per person. All proceeds will go to the SBMC General Fund. We will have food, beer and wine, as well as great networking! Bring your friends, colleagues, family, and potential members to this fun event!

SPOTLIGHT SPEAKER OPENINGS

This opportunity is free to all members in good standing and gives you the chance to speak about your business, family, interests, or anything else you would like to "spotlight" for five minutes. You can place business cards, flyers, or informational materials on the tables to showcase your business.
