PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Last week we welcomed Jerry Holland, the Duval County Property Appraiser.

Mr. Holland gave us a crash course on the three ways property is valued in Duval County: the market value, the adjusted value, and the taxable value. Value is based on the information that is known and available to the appraiser at the time of appraisal. Don’t be surprised if there is a sudden change in your value. Did you know that a property has to be reviewed by the property appraiser every five years?Keep a look out for those city employees in the blue shirts because they are just doing their jobs.

This week we welcome Daniel Davis from the Jax Chamber. If you haven’t been out to Fogo de Chao yet, you are missing out. The food has been great and the speakers have been excellent as well.

SBMC FAMILY NETWORKING NIGHT

Join us for an SBMC Family Networking Night at the Vystar Veteran's Memorial Arena as the Jacksonville Icemen take on the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Saturday, March 12^th at 7 pm. Tickets are only $15.00 and you can purchase them here!

ANNUAL WINE RAFFLE

Hooray! Our Annual Wine Raffle is here again! Tickets are now $20 each. Ticket prices will be $25 in the month of April so don't delay!

The drawing will be held April 13th for Three lucky winners with a 50%-30%-20% split of wines.

Our goal this year is to get 100 bottles donated & sell 100 tickets!

If you would like to donate a bottle, please bring it to one of our regular Wednesday meetings and Get Recognized!

MEET A MEMBER MEGA EVENT

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of our Meet A Member Mega Event!

Apollo Packaging and Dumpster Crushr of Florida are co-hosting this Mega event! Come join us for a networking social and meet with fellow SBMC members and some new potential customers. This Meet-A-Member is different than others because you'll have the opportunity to show off your business. Bring a table and marketing material -- all we ask for is a fee of $20.00 to exhibit and only $5.00 to attend. General attendance with no table is $5 per person. All proceeds will go to the SBMC General Fund. We will have food, beer and wine, as well as great networking! Bring your friends, colleagues, family, and potential members to this fun event!

This opportunity is free to all members in good standing and gives you the chance to speak about your business, family, interests, or anything else you would like to "spotlight" for five minutes. You can place business cards, flyers, or informational materials on the tables to showcase your business.
