PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Last week we welcomed Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams. Sheriff Williams gave us the annual update on crime and what the latest statistics were. It is great to report that every type of violent crime across all levels are down. This makes for a total annual drop of 13.8%. Unfortunately, Jacksonville ranks 10th in the nation for being dangerous for pedestrians so be extra vigilant when doing basic things while driving like making complete stops and use caution while making turns. Sheriff Williams also mentioned the benefits and success of his annual sheriff walks.

Join us for our monthly Golf Outing at Eagle Harbor Golf Club!

Eagle Harbor Golf Course incorporates water in many ways. Situated between Black Creek and Doctors Lake (and just beyond that, the St. Johns River), this 18-hole Course is one of the most charming in the region. The Course is laid out within the grounds of the Eagle Harbor Community, which lies on the southeastern shore of the lake. Players are offered stunning vistas of natural elements in the Florida landscape, including a favorite spot on the Eagle Harbor Golf Course: the island green. This impressive feature captures the essence of the classic Florida Golf Course and provides an exciting, yet fair challenge to golfers of all levels. It’s part of what makes playing here so special and memorable.

ANNUAL WINE RAFFLE

Hooray! Our Annual Wine Raffle is here again! Tickets are now $20 each. Ticket prices will be $25 in the month of April so don't delay!

The drawing will be held April 13th for Three lucky winners with a 50%-30%-20% split of wines.

Our goal this year is to have 100 bottles donated and 100 tickets sold!

MEET A MEMBER MEGA EVENT

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of our Meet A Member Mega Event!

Apollo Packaging and Dumpster Crushr of Florida are co-hosting this Mega event! Come join us for a networking social and meet with fellow SBMC members and some new potential customers. This Meet-A-Member is different than others because you'll have the opportunity to show off your business. Bring a table and marketing material -- all we ask for is a fee of $20.00 to exhibit and only $5.00 to attend. General attendance with no table is $5 per person. All proceeds will go to the SBMC General Fund. We will have food, beer and wine, as well as great networking! Bring your friends, colleagues, family, and potential members to this fun event!

YAP GOLF TOURNAMENT

Mark your calendars! Our Annual YAP Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, May 9. The first tee time is at 12:30pm with a Shotgun Start! Please check in by 11:00am.

The price for golfers is $125 per player.

Hole Sponsorships are available for $150.

This opportunity is free to all members in good standing and gives you the chance to speak about your business, family, interests, or anything else you would like to "spotlight" for five minutes.
