Hello, Clubsigners!

Thank you for reading your August 2026 Clubsigner Newsletter! As promised, we have information and reminders below that will help you stay on track to confidently and successfully lead your club or organization.

Much of the information below was shared in the July 2026 Newsletter. We've kept that information in this month's newsletter so you can review it. Items and topics that are new this month or updated from last month are highlighted in yellow.

DEADLINE REMINDERS

If you do not already have these dates in your calendar, please put them there now! Any forms or links needed for a deadline date are included here as well as in sections below.

• May 10: Coach Hiring Plans due! DEADLINE EXTENDED - July 6
• June 22: Last day to spend for FY26
• July 21, 12PM EST: Virtual Club Sports Safety Officer Psychosocial Workshop (link here)
• July 31: RSO Re-registration due!
• August 2: All Coach paperwork due! Your coach can't start working until we have this!
• August 3: Practice schedule request due!
• August 29: New Student Involvement Fair! More info coming soon to those who registered!
• August 30: Convocation Parade - see below for more information.
• September 8, 9, and 10: ActivitiesFest! More info coming soon to those who registered!
• September 9: Safety Officer Training at 4:30PM in Davis Center (Room 413)
• NEW DATE September 27: Clubsigner Education Conference! This training is MANDATORY. More details to come!

SHOUT OUT!!!

To the 232 RSOs that re-registered for the 2026-2027 school year, thank you so much! We are excited to begin the year and continue supporting your club/organization once again.

RALLY POINT (RSO management software/UVM Clubs replacement) UPDATE

We know you have questions! Our implementation team is working diligently to launch this platform as soon as possible. While we cannot grant you access yet, here are some important considerations to think about as you prepare for the academic year.

• Van requests will now be embedded in the Event Submission Process. Once the platform goes live, you will be able to submit your van requests.
• In the meantime, please confirm that all your UVM Certified Drivers have up to date certifications and submit any necessary recertification requests as needed.
• Summer Spending Requests can be completed here. Use this form for any spending that must be completed prior to the first day of classes (August 31).
• PEAC Credit Request Form will be made available on Rally Point soon! Credit can be requested at any point during the academic year for students participating in Club Sports.
• Roster Management - Each club member will be responsible for adding themselves into your club's page on Rally Point. Staff will only be adding the two clubsigners to each page prior to launch. Club members must be listed on your page's roster in order to travel and participate in clubs events.

CLUB SPORTS REMINDERS

Clubsigners, have you identified your Club Safety Officers for the upcoming year yet? Your team is required to have at least one. These individuals will need to be CPR, AED, and First Aid certified as well as participate in the following two trainings: 

• September 9 @ 4:30PM - Safety Officer Training with David Grove
• Davis Center 413 - Chittenden Bank Room

Agreement to Participate Forms

• Each club sports member will be required to sign the Agreement to Participate Form prior to being added to your club's page. Therefore, it is crucial that all your members are added to your group prior to your first try out or practice in order to prompt their completion of the waiver.

Fall Practice Schedules

• Coming soon! Please do not advertise try-out or practice schedules until they have been confirmed by Grace.

PEAC Credit

• PEAC Credit Request Form will be made available on Rally Point soon! Credit can be requested at any point during the academic year for students participating in Club Sports.

SUMMER SPENDING

For all spending requests needed prior to the first week of classes, please submit the following form: Summer Spending 2026 . If you have a reimbursement request to submit over the summer, please submit the form below. As a reminder, reimbursements are only processed in the event that a spending request has been approved and an emergency has popped up. Requests must be submitted within 30 days of the purchase: 2026 Summer Reimbursement Request

Payment Portal Requests will become available during the first week of classes. Be on the lookout for more information soon!

CLUBSIGNER EDUCATION CONFERENCE

Sunday, September 27, 9am - 1pm - Davis Center

A mandatory event for all Clubsigners (new and returning) providing detailed information in multiple sessions, designed to teach you the things you need to know about successfully leading and operating your RSO.

Clubsigner 1, Clubsigner 2, and Additional Clubsigner (if applicable) are required to attend this conference.

Breakfast will be provided!

CONVOCATION PARADE

Are you looking for new members to join your RSO? Want to show campus how exciting and interesting your RSO is?

Join us at the Convocation Parade!

As a refresher, Convocation is the final ceremony for first-time, first-year students as they wrap up New Student Orientation and prepare to begin the fall semester. These students are led in a parade to the Waterman Green, and along the way, members of the UVM community cheer them on as a way to welcome them to the Catamount Family!

Many RSOs have used this time as a way to promote their group to potentially interested new students.

Details from the event organizers below:

• Sunday, August 30, 2026
• 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. ET
• University Green
• Line up on University Place (the road near Old Mill/Lafayette)

More information on parking and road closures will become available as the event gets closer. Noisemakers will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own cheering gear!
