Annual Report Due Dec. 31

If you are the Program Director of a CAAHEP accredited Paramedic program, you received an email from [email protected] providing you the username and password to the CAAHEP Annual Report. If you did not receive that email, email [email protected].

Annual Report Login
  1. A detailed User Guide was emailed ONLY to Program Directors on October 7, 2016  for the annual report; it can also be downloaded once you log in to the annual report
  2. Enter data on all first-enrolled classes starting after accreditation was awarded only
  3. Enter outcomes data only for any graduated classes listed on Enrollment & Retention
  4. Update all data for previous years, as necessary
  5. Write a detailed analysis and action plan for any outcomes that do not meet the Thresholds
  6. Provide the website where student/graduate achievement results are posted as public information on the Comment tab.

Revisions In Progress!
Standardized Progress Reports for the 2016 Annual Report
CoAEMSP is currently revising the Standardized Progress Report (SPRs) templates and the NEW 2016 SPR templates will be available on the CoAEMSP website by January 15, 2017. The new SPR templates will be in a PDF fillable format.

Every accredited program will be notified after the December 31, 2016, due date if CoAEMSP review of the 2016 Annual Report indicated any targeted threshold(s) is/were not met and identify the applicable SPR(s) due.

For 2016, CoAEMSP will review the 3-year outcomes window for Graduation Year 2015+2014+2013. The 2016 Annual Report targeted thresholds are:

NREMT/State Written Examination
Success - 70%
NREMT/State Practical Examination
Success - 70%
Retention - 70%
Positive (Job) Placement - 70%

Standardized Progress Reports (SPRs) for 2016 will be due no later than March 1, 2017.

Milestones
In recognition of an educational milestone being achieved, the CoAEMSP would like to recognize those who have furthered their education and earned a Masters degree or higher. Congratulations!

Logan Caldwell, program director of the Paramedic program at Emergency Training Associates in Jamestown, North Dakota, earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Alex Stadthagen, program director of the Paramedic program at Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch, Texas, earned a Master of Science degree from Western Governors University Texas in September 2016.

Bill Robertson, program director of the Paramedic program at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, earned a Doctor of Health Sciences degree from Nova Southeastern University.

Bobby Lynn Sikes, EMT/Paramedic program director at East Arkansas Community College, earned a Master of Education degree from William Woods University.

Fee Changes

During its summer meeting, the CoAEMSP Board of Directors approved changes to the fee structure for certain accreditation services.

The board is cognizant of the financial resources of Paramedic programs and recognizes its fiscal responsibility to programs and sponsor organizations. The decision to change the existing fees came after many months of discussion, some spirited, exploring different options, and working through the advantages and disadvantages of each. The changes to some of the fees will give us the opportunity to provide additional services, programming and support to programs throughout the year. It will provide efficiency in the accreditation processes for programs, site visitors, and board members.

With the increase in Paramedic programs, there is an increase in workload. Currently there are 690 programs seeking or maintaining accreditation. On a monthly basis, we average 2-5 new programs entering the accreditation system.
