This virtual Charla brings together legal experts from the education, non-profit, and public sectors to share insight on the current legal landscape and what practitioners, institutions and organizations should be mindful of moving forward.
Panelists will discuss emerging trends, common concerns, and practical considerations related to advocacy, compliance, and institutional decision-making and the current administration's changes to DEI, immigration, and education policies.
This space is intended for educators, staff, administrators, and allies working across Colorado's postsecondary institutions.

The 20th annual Colorado Latino/a Advocacy Day (LAD) will be hosted in Denver on March 14-16, 2026.
Colorado Latino/a Advocacy Day (LAD) was launched in 2007 in response to anti-immigrant policies and rising anti-Latino/a sentiment. For nearly two decades, it has served as a powerful gathering space where Latinos/as from every corner of Colorado come together to build collective power, demand change, and advocate directly on the issues shaping our lives, families, and futures.
LAD is a three-day experience that blends education on policy issues, leadership development, and direct advocacy. Participants engage in accessible learning sessions on state policy, hear from movement leaders rooted in community, and step into their power through hands-on advocacy at the Capitol. Whether it’s your first time engaging in policy or you’ve been organizing for years, LAD is a living expression of community voice, resistance, and hope.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to their team directly.
