To mark its deepening relationship with UC Santa Barbara, Microsoft Corporation has joined Corporate Affiliates . A long-time campus partner, Microsoft regularly recruits top computer science and other students for internships and full-time positions and supports research in fields such as quantum computing . Recently, jointly appointed to the Departments of Geography and the Bren School, Professor Kelly Caylor was awarded the AI For Earth Innovation Grant , jointly sponsored by Microsoft and National Geographic.

To kick off Microsoft's Corporate Affiliates' membership, Girish Bablani (MS '91), Corporate Vice President, Azure Compute and Executive Sponsor for UC Santa Barbara, addressed an enthusiastic crowd of Department of Computer Science students, describing his post-UC Santa Barbara career journey and the future of cloud computing.

We welcome Microsoft's participation and look forward to facilitating meaningful collaborations with students, faculty, and Corporate Affiliates members.
