CoTESOL Spring Conference

​CoTESOL, the Council on Exceptional Children, and Mesa County School District 51, welcome ESL educators from around Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region for a day of professional development. 

Distinguished teachers, administrators, and writers will present over 25 sessions to choose from. 

Attendees can earn PD and CEU credits (through Colorado Mesa University) for their participation.

For over 25 years, Margarita Calderón has been conducting research on English Language Learners and professional development for content, ESL, Special Education and bilingual teachers and administrators. Her focus is integrating CCSS (Common Core State Standards) into ELL instruction, establishing teacher learning communities, and coaching/supervising teachers with ELLs.

Patrick T. Randolph

Patrick will share two presentations:

Research and Practice: The Powerful Effects of Exercise on Language Learning


Patrick T. Randolph has taught English language learners for the past 23 years, specializing in vocabulary, creative and academic writing, speech, and debate. His research interests include applying findings in neuroscience to the language classroom. Patrick lives with his soul-inspiring wife, Gamze; his cheerfully trilingual daughter, Aylene; and comical-cat, Gable in Lincoln, Nebraska.
