InSight Group Special Edition
Fight the Arm Injury Epidemic
Coach ,

Tired of throwing & pitching injuries at Your Program ? The InSight Group can help!

We are inviting every High School & College in the USA to join the InSight Group Mission to SAVE ARMS! Free Video: Type SaveArms.News/Mission in your PC or smartphone browser to view our Save Arms Playlist on our YouTube Channel.

There is NO EXCUSE for EPIDEMIC Tommy John surgeries with 57% ADOLESCENT! History clearly tells us MOST throwing injuries can be PREVENTED or injury risks REDUCED.

Bob Gibson AVERAGED 258 innings per yr. from '61 to '74. They lowered the mound 5 inches because of his 1.12 ERA in '68 with 304 innings + 28 complete games throwing 96 MPH! Gibby had 255 complete games in his Hall of Fame career! Why aren't today's pitchers as durable?

Stop the Insanity of Velocity at All Costs
We Teach Athletes To Optimize Velocity & REDUCE Injury Risks
Coach ,

Please allow us to teach the entire Your Program team how we Save Pitchers Arms!

This is a very detailed Newsletter because it's an IMPORTANT subject as pitching arm injuries are EPIDEMIC. We MUST do something different than current methods to SAVE ARMS.

If you are short on time, please save it to read in detail and share it with your coaches, players, parents when possible. There is nothing more important than the health of our athletes.

Look for each pitching topic below discussed in more detail in the next InSight Group Newsletter Volumes to help Improve the Way Pitching is Taught. YOUR INPUT is ALWAYS APPRECIATED!

InSight Group Members John Smoltz (HOF 2015) & The Rope Trainer, Peavy Baseball, The Kinetic Arm & Elite Edge Training continually study the many factors contributing to UCL & other injuries.

Together, We Have Created a Better Way to Build COMPLETE PITCHERS.

Our ULTIMATE GOAL is to IMPROVE PERFORMANCE while REDUCING INJURY RISKS by:

  1. Reducing Cumulative Stress Wear & Tear in Practice & Games
  2. Stopping the Insanity of Velocity at All Costs by Finding a Better Way
  3. Thinking Outside the Box to Create Evolutionary Complete Pitcher Training Protocols
  4. Optimizing Velocity by Teaching Athletes to Efficiently Throw with the Core
  5. Utilizing SPORTS & MOTION SPECIFIC Conditioning & Strength Routines
  6. Utilizing High Speed Motion Analysis to Perfect Instruction Methods & Teach Efficiently

Note for Pitching/Throwing Coaches: Articles are summations based on InSight Groups extensive study using Peavy Baseball InnerVision & studies published by the Wake Forest Biomechanical Pitching Lab & other sources in the public domain. InSight Group lists these studies with links to the original resource articles in our Newsletter Resource Archives for your coaches to study & hopefully contribute to evolving instruction methods, with the common goal of reducing injury risks in overhead throwers.
SPECIAL NOTE: Future Volumes Cover Each Individual Subject Below Plus Many More In Detail
Volume 2 Titled "Underspeed Training Effects Including Humeral Retroversion" is Scheduled for Nov. 22, 2021
STOP: Weighted Balls Work-But Not The Way You Think
Studies are showing that increased pitch speeds may come from increased external rotation from additional humerus warping, NOT from additional arm strength or acceleration rates. The additional velocity may come from simply longer "acceleration ramps".

Deviant ball weights result in altered arm positions during the pitching motion & altered velocity. In addition, increased external rotation & eccentric posterior shoulder contractions from throwing an overweight ball could amplify the loss of internal rotation & increase the risk of injury.

THINK: Analyze Existing Methods & Tools
The "towel drill" has been around for years & is safe..right?

Not necessarily. Peavy Baseball InnerVision testing of The Rope Trainer Vs The Towel Drill found that the towel drill produced 40% more UCL stress than The Rope Trainer. Natural external rotation disappeared & the throw became less synchronized & produced a wholly inefficient sequencing of the motion & inefficient hand path.

LEARN: Optimize Velocity Through Efficiency
Extensive Studies at Wake Forest University & others have found a tremendous relationship between ground reaction force & throwing arm kinetics. Maximum Shoulder Rotation Torque may be reduced by limiting the Drive Leg Medial Force without velocity loss.

An effective relationship to the ground reaction force may contribute to a more effective energy transfer of the trunk & the arm or a more effective use of the core, thus lessening arm/shoulder stress.

PREVENT: Manage Workload & Reduce Cumulative Stress
The Kinetic Arm is a Patented Workload Management Device & will Revolutionize Pitching Instruction by Reducing Wear, Tear & Injury Risks in Practice & Games.
MuscleWeb Technology allows the Kinetic Arm to reduce stress by offloading internal muscle, ligament, tendon & joint stresses to REDUCE WEAR, TEAR & CUMULATIVE STRESS in Practice & Games. And it is used for REHABILITATION as well as PREVENTATIVE PROTECTION to help achieve increased Velo with Reduced Injury Risk Potential.

IMPROVE: Follow An Ever Improving Protocol
Peavy Baseball uses InnerVision High Speed Motion Analysis in their high tech pitching studio to develop an ever evolving & improving "Velocity through Efficiency" pitching/overhead throwing protocol featuring The Rope Trainer & other tools to synchronize the core & arm to maintain velo with less arm stress.

OPTIMIZE: Throw with the Core-Reduce Arm Stress
Athletes Learn Visually bu Go By Feel! Connecting them to what they are ACTUALLY DOING accelerates learning up to 50% +.
Peavy Baseball uses InnerVision High Speed Motion Analysis in their high tech pitching studio with a Core Velocity Belt to maximize use of the core & synchronize the arm with optimal groundforce to reduce arm stress while optimizing velocity.
