COAST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENTS

The City of Oceanside held an informational meeting on January 16 about proposed improvements to a section of Coast Highway. What began as a high-level planning effort with careful study and extensive community input several years ago is now becoming a fully-realized improvement project that will create a "complete street" along a section of the Coast Highway from Surfrider Way, south to Oceanside Boulevard.

The project will promote continuous traffic flow, improve pedestrian, bicycle, and transit access, increase ADA compliance, and encourage economic development.
