Merry Greetings!
Although Ben has been visiting many of your homes, you may have noticed a pause in our newsletters. No cause for concern – we’re still out there loving Sarasota. In the past few months our family has dressed as characters from Alice in Wonderland to hand out candy at our church’s “Trunk or Treat,” celebrated a birthday at Escape Reality, participated in a Meditation Walk at Red Bug Slough, and paddle-boarded the mangrove tunnels at Ted Sperling Park. We’ve also continued with our daughter’s riding lessons at True Blue Farm, and wrapped up our son’s baseball season with Cal Ripken. We threw in an evening trip to Tampa for their Haunted Victory Ship, and a weekend in Orlando for Medieval Times. Of course there was Thanksgiving, which we enjoyed with extended family in Fort Myers.
But before all that... there were the hurricanes. Tropical Storm Debby spared our clients. Not all were as fortunate with Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Ben worked long days before and after the storms to meticulously support your needs, while also addressing the needs of our family. As his wife, I’d like to take a moment to say how proud I am of his dedication to all who benefit from his care. The kids and I are forever grateful to have him in our lives.
We’ve come out of the storms with a renewed focus on family, faith, and feeling. It’s a trio that lends itself well to the holiday season – however, it’s less helpful for meeting self-imposed Coastal Haven newsletter deadlines and social media calendars! While we will continue to explore and enjoy Sarasota’s treasures in the new year, you may not receive monthly emails from us. In the absence of a regular newsletter, we hope you will take a few extra moments to breathe slowly, think on your blessings, and witness the world’s beauty. Now’s a great time to practice!
