The Georgia clay provided close racing all day long at Round 3 of the AMA Grand National Cross Country Series. A staple on the circuit, "The General" GNCC stages out of Aonia Pass MX in Washington, GA and the terrain always proves challenging to read and decipher at speed.

After a big crash last week in Florida, Ryder Lafferty #19 came to Georgia looking for redemption and to put himself back into title contention with a strong finish. After battling wheel to wheel for the lead for most of the race, a crash on lap five saw Lafferty lose the tow of the front runners and he settled into 3rd XC2 for the final laps.

Cole Whitmer #518 rocketed off the start to round the first turns in the Top 3. As the race wore on, Cole held a strong second in Open A up until the final lap where a pass was made that pushed him back to 3rd at the checkers. Lane Whitmer #587 put his GasGas EX250F on top of the box in 4-Stroke A Lites after battling early on before checking out to a sizeable gap by the halfway point. Shawn Remington #76 put in a solid ride inside the Top 5 of the 40+ A class, racing to a 4th place and less than 30 seconds off the podium.
