What a joy it was to gather once again for A Weekend of Fun & Fellowship in Support of Beckwith! BayLights weekend brought another beautiful few days in God’s front yard, complete with perfect weather, joy and laughter, and a spirit of generosity that overflowed throughout the event.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who made BayLights 2025 such a success—our sponsors who made the weekend possible, the many friends who purchased drawdown tickets, and all who donated or bid in the silent auction. Each of you helped create a weekend filled with fun, fellowship, and lasting impact for Beckwith’s ministry.

William Smith is a distinguished Professor at the University of Utah. His initiatives include Stop the Stigma Together and Love Your Mind national campaigns to reduce mental health stigma and promote wellness across diverse communities.
Dr. Smith describes Racial Battle Fatigue, a concept he coined in 2003, as a systemic, racism-related repetitive stress injury with profound and cumulative impacts on those targeted by racism.

Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe congratulates new Archbishop of Canterbury
I am very pleased at the news that Bishop Sarah Mullally, who has served as bishop of London since 2018, has been named the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury. She will be the first woman to hold the role, which was established more than 1,400 years ago.
Bishop Sarah is known in the Church of England as a wise and steady leader, a faithful advocate for the leadership of women in the church, and a bishop who will be committed to safeguarding vulnerable people and victims of abuse. She is a former nurse who served as the government’s chief nursing officer for England and has dedicated her vocational life to serving those in need. Earlier today, when asked about her two careers, she said, “I prefer to think that I have always had one vocation: to follow Jesus Christ.”
