Everyone is invited to the Bicentennial Celebration of Christ Church Cathedral, Mobile, as we give thanks for All the Saints, past and present, and look to begin our third century.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend a selection of workshops focused on equipping church leaders with new skills that will revitalize existing ministries and pave the way for exciting new ventures.

Adventurous Aging: How to Stay Young at Heart

The Commission on Affirmative Aging in the Episcopal Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast presents a day to learn about how to stay young at heart. We have an exciting lineup:

  • RECENT RESEARCH ON SENESCENCE with Melinda Henderson, PhD, APRN, FAAN
  • LIVE LONGER AND FEEL BETTER, GRANDMOTHER WAS ALWAYS RIGHT with Dr. Dennis Mayeaux
  • MIND, BODY & SPIRIT: STEWARDSHIP AS A SPIRITUAL PRACTICE with Dr. Salem Saloom
  • TAI CHI with Jennifer Edwards, West Florida Area Health Education Center
  • SAFE MEDICATION PRACTICES FOR BETTER HEALTH with Madison Holmes, PharmD; Amy Renaud, PharmD; and Chenita Carter, PharmD

4 CEU hours for clergy, nurses, and healthcare workers. Check-in will begin at 9:30 a.m. Lunch is included. The cost is $20.


This workshop is designed for clergy, parish nurses, and those involved in activities or programs for the elderly (in the home, church, or other agency), as well as for all who wish to age affirmatively.

Sponsored by Lyon Fry Cadden Insurance to benefit Wilmer Hall on Sunday, November 5. Join us on the front lawn (3811 Old Shell Rd) at 5:30 p.m. with your blankets, chairs, drinks, snacks, and whatever you need to get cozy for a night at the movies under the stars! There will be a dinner option on site, as well as Frios Gourmet Pops!


The featured movie this year, “Night at the Museum 2,” will begin at 6 p.m.. Tickets are $10 per person or $40 MAX per family. Please plan to join us for a great time and awesome family fun!
