City Code Enforcement Team moves to the Fort Walton Beach Police Department
In August, the City’s Code Enforcement divsion was moved from the Growth Management Department to the Police Department. The code enforcement staff and their contact emails and telephone numbers are the same, but they now operate as part of the Police Department and work out of the Police Station at 7 Hollywood Boulevard NE.
“By bringing code enforcement into the community policing unit, we bridge the gap between public safety and quality-of-life concerns,” said Police Chief Robert Bage. “Many of these challenges stem from the same underlying issues, and by leveraging resources together, we can create lasting solutions. This partnership not only upholds the standards that keep neighborhoods safe and healthy, but also builds trust, strengthens relationships, and empowers residents to take pride in their communities.”
