The Coats Chamber is already busy preparing for the 104th Farmer's Day. If you are interested in being a sponsor for any of the events, please contact the Coats Chamber Office. Applications are available on our website and from the facebook page.

Coats Area Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate the Carolina Red Rocks Traveling Team who won the Wood Bat Tournament at Myrtle Beach this past weekend. Check out the picture of Gregory Godwin from Coats who pitched (2nd row first picture on left) and Tyler House from Erwin who played centerfield in the game (2nd row, 5th from left).

CHAMBER FUNDRAISER 2016
Raffle tickets will be for sale beginning June 7th at the
CACC Smith Farm Sing. You can pick up tickets at the Chamber Office or from any board member or ambassador. Drawing will take place on October 18th.  This Raffle money will be used for the upkeep of the Community Building. We need a new deck and other repairs are needed.   Tickets are $2.00 each or 3 tickets for $5.00. There will be several prizes and our large prizes  will be one year Pest Control from Lee/State Pest Control, a beautiful Table built by Commissioner Chris Coats & a Grill. Please help us keep the Community Building beautiful for the community to enjoy.

The  Campbell University Street Fair   is coming up on  Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 6:00 pm-8:00 pm .  Local businesses and organizations are  invited to attend to share information with the students.  Promotional items and prizes are always popular with the students and are a great way to advertise.  Deadline to register is  August 9th .   Note there are 90 slots for local businesses and 53 of them are already filled so don't delay if you are interested in this event.  If you have questions, contact Cameron Burroughs at  910-814-4758

The Angier, Coats, Dunn, Erwin and Lillington Chambers along with Harnett County Economic Development and Dunn Area Tourism Authority partnered together to bring you Harnett County Living 2016.

ripped_paper_usa_flag.jpg The inaugural Veteran Owned Business Festival (VOB Fest) will be held on August 27th from 11:00 am-4:00 pm at 322 S Main St in Fuquay-Varina.  If you are a veteran operating a business and you would like to be a vendor, contact Jason Grantham at 919-413-4395 or email vobfest@gmail.com .  The cost for booth rentals is $50.  They are currently seeking a few more Veteran Owned Businesses.
 
The public is invited to come out and support local VOB's in beautiful downtown Fuquay-Varina during this event. There will be live music, food trucks, and local breweries, games for all ages, prizes, and lots of fun! Proceeds raised will benefit Military Missions in Action, Heroes United and Operation 300.
If you are looking for fun, educational and fitness related activities for the children in your family this summer, be sure to review the  2016 Guide for Summer Activities for Children.  The Guide features information about many of our Chamber members and the activities they offer during the summer including day camps, the Summer Reading Program, youth enrichment programs offered by CCCC and 4-H and more.  In addition, there is information about family outings to museums and parks as well as all types of lessons that are available including music and art camps offered by Eleven One Studios.
