Cobb County Solicitor General Access During the Judicial Emergency:
Beginning March 18, 2020, The Cobb County Solicitor General's Office will be responding to the intention and orders of Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Harold Melton and Cobb Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Reuben Green, and procedures adopted by The Cobb County Board of Commissioners in the following manner;
The physical office will be closed except by appointment as elevator access to the 5th floor will not be available.
A small portion of the office staff will be physically present in the office to address essential court proceedings, public safety and citizen needs.
The remainder of the staff will be remote working, available during office hours. Attorneys are encouraged to speak by phone or e-mail. Calls to the office will be returned the same business day.
Office appointments are not available on a drop-in basis.
Our main office telephone lines will be answered by staff who can direct those needing assistance to the correct parties.
Victims will be able to reach their advocate by phone and e-mail. In person meetings will be held by appointment and only in the case where personal contact is crucial.
The Cobb County Solicitor General's Office stands ready to assist citizens on State Court traffic and misdemeanor cases.
In the current ever-changing landscape of health and medical concerns, please know we will do our best to respond quickly to time-sensitive matters.
We appreciate all that our community leaders, law enforcement, bar members and citizenry are doing to help facilitate health and wellness of our community.
