All new sustainability marketing campaign in Cobo Center

Sustainable Brands 2017 here we come!

To get ready for Sustainable Brands 2017 Conference May 22-25, Cobo Center has redesigned its sustainability marketing campaign to reflect the giant step forward achieved in the program with the Cobo/SB17 partnership.

"This was the perfect time to give a new look and feel to our sustainability efforts in Cobo," said Claude Molinari, general manager. He added, "The ongoing partnership that the Cobo Center Green Committee has developed with Sustainable Brands lit a fire under our facility Green initiatives, and this campaign reflects that."

Cobo also recently re-certified under the GMIC ASTM/APEX standard for Green venues, and was originally the 9th facility in the United States to do so in 2015.

David Fiss, Executive Producer Live Events for Sustainable Brands, said, "Sustainable Brands is excited to partner with suppliers and venues like Cobo who demonstrate a commitment to sustainable practices.  A sustainable event is more thoughtful and creates a better participant experience."  Mr. Fiss is also a member of the Convention Industry Council's Sustainability Leadership Council. 

Claude Molinari, general manager of Cobo Center, added, "We continue to make strides in improving the sustainability of our offerings, including a new bike share station with 25 bicycles as part of Detroit's new MoGo transit system, that includes 43 other stations around the downtown area."
