The numbers were hung on my kennel so bare,
I hoped every minute that someone would care.

I was treated so fondly when I had cute baby ways.

Once I was little then just grew and grew.

Now I'm no longer young and no longer new.

So out the back door I was thrown like the trash.

I "jumped on the children:, "don't come when they call",
I "barked when they left me", "I climb over the wall."

And then I saw her as she came through the door
I pulled my tired body off the mat on the floor.

I wagged my stump and thought maybe she'll try -

she looked at me for a minute and then began to cry.

So Life's Little Paws took me so starving and sick,

all I had to offer them was a weak feeble lick.

Off to the hospital they took me so fast

I was so weak they thought "He just cannot last!"

The bills will cost hundreds, but they just don't care.

They fundraise so hard but they aren't nearly there.
