Have you received your supplemental Medi-Cal managed care payments?
The California Health Care, Research and Prevention Tobacco Tax Act of 2016 (Prop 56) created new revenues dedicated to the Medi-Cal program. Physicians receive supplemental payments in both fee-for-service and Medi-Cal managed care when providing Medi-Cal services under certain CPT codes.

Plans were required to issue supplemental payments to qualifying physicians within 90 days. The 90-day window ended August 31 and physicians should have already received their supplemental payments . More...
Opioid Advocacy Update from CMA President
From the beginning of the opioid epidemic, the California Medical Association (CMA) has been one of the most engaged and determined stakeholders working to strike a balance between patient access to necessary medicine and preventing and addressing abuse.

CMA has been a leader in advocating for increased funding, access and availability of preventive services, opioid-use disorder treatment programs and non-opioid therapies, including mental health services and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
