PSSA Information

PSSA testing for grades 3-5 will begin after Spring Break. Here is the schedule:

• Wednesday, April 23 - Friday, April 25: English Language Arts
• Monday, April 28 - Tuesday, April 29: Mathematics
• Wednesday, April 30 - Thursday, May 1: 5th Grade Science

St. Patty's Fun

There was no shortage of leprechaun shenanigans at Coebourn, especially in the kindergarten classrooms! Green footprints, toppled chairs, green toilet water, and scattered blocks were just a few signs of their mischievous visits. Despite the students’ best efforts in building clever leprechaun traps, those sneaky little tricksters managed to escape. Maybe next year will be their lucky catch!

Kindergarten Registration is Now Open!

Do you have a younger child at home who will be 5 on or before September 1, 2025? It’s time to register for kindergarten!

Tech Tip from our Technology Teacher, Ms. Cameron:

It’s important to model what constitutes ethical use of generative AI for our students. Having it actually do your assignment is not only unethical, but problematic because you might miss important skills that you will need in the future. So how can you ethically and responsibly use this resource? Here are a few ideas.

Homework Helper

Parents can use ChatGPT to explain tricky homework concepts in a simple way without just giving answers.

👉 Example: "Explain fractions like I’m 10 years old."

Personalized Learning Quizzes

• Ask ChatGPT to make a spelling quiz, fun math problems, or trivia questions based on what your child is learning in school.
• You can also turn it into a “Family Jeopardy” game with different categories!

👉 Example: "Create a fun 2nd-grade spelling test with silly sentences."

When used the right way, AI can be a great tool for learning, not a shortcut around it.
