Coeur Rochester POA 11 Project Update

PROJECT UPDATE

Construction Update

Construction crews have been busy with POA 11 operations along Limerick Canyon. Since October, here’s what has been going on:

Construction project offices have been built and are now occupied
Temporary substation providing electricity to project offices has been completed and powered by NV Energy
One of two water wells is completed; the second is under construction. Both are replacements of Rochester mine site wells to ensure reliability and longevity.
Temporary fuel island has been constructed
Early earthworks have been completed

Additional construction packages for POA 11 have also been awarded since October. Granite Construction (from Reno) was awarded the crusher civil package and are currently mobilizing workers, offices and equipment onto site. High Mark Construction (from Elko) was awarded the leach pad and process plant civil package and are currently working on the leach pad. Schmueser & Associates (from Winnemucca) were recently awarded the construction warehouse package and will move onto site in February. The concrete package was also released for bids and is planned to be awarded in March.

Traffic Alerts

As a reminder, members of the public using Limerick Canyon Road are encouraged to drive with extreme caution as construction trucks and equipment can be entering and exiting the roadway. When driving through the work zone, always obey construction signs and speed limits.

Coeur will be providing bus/van transportation for construction personnel and employees to and from the site. This will help reduce the amount of vehicular traffic on Limerick Canyon Road, preventing exposure to crashes and the reduction in tailpipe emissions.

Limerick Canyon Kiosk

We are working on building a public information kiosk on a turnout area along Limerick Canyon Road that overlooks POA 11 construction. The kiosk will provide the community with information including Limerick Canyon mining history, POA 11 project details and schedule, our project team, contact information, announcements and more. The kiosk is anticipated to be completed in February.

The New CoeurRochester.com

The Coeur Rochester website, www.CoeurRochester.com, has been redesigned to reflect construction of POA 11. The community is encouraged to continue to visit the website to learn more about this project, view project progress photos and videos and to stay in touch.

These project updates will be distributed quarterly and as-needed throughout construction of POA 11. These updates will remain project-related and are intended to inform the community and our stakeholders on construction progress, activities, and events.
