Inspiring Sustainability Stories, Videos and More!
Coffee Break
The last couple days of this challenge were intense, so intense that we forgot to celebrate National Coffee Day on September 29! Fortunately, today is INTERNATIONAL Coffee Day. You've been working hard on your Sustainability Roadmap, so you deserve a coffee break.
Your challenge today: Grab a cup of sustainable coffee (or your favorite beverage) and enjoy watching, reading, or calculating(!) the interesting stories related to sustainability below. You can get back to your Roadmap tomorrow feeling refreshed and better educated.

Four and a half minutes of complicated science, simplified.
Climate Change Is Real...ly Funny
American University holds an Eco-Comedy Video Competition each year. As an educator, this one was my favorite from last year.
World Vegetarian Day - A day that provides another excuse to try a new recipe, and also a day to watch this entertaining 4-minute video about pescatarianism. Yes, that's a thing.
Cool Calculations:
Data nerds will love this one: EPA has this really cool calculator where you can enter energy data (such as gallons of gasoline or kilowatt hours of electricity) and it will calculate what that means in terms of emissions, such as car miles driven in a year. Combined with a Kill A Watt Meter, math lovers could spend hours calculating things like how much they could save by retiring the TV in the guest room (with the bonus of fewer mother-in-law visits).
