The Coffee Convo presentation series is presented by the Lurie Center for Autism

Recognizing Autistic Joy

Wednesday, June 18th

6:30pm - 7:30pm

Imagine a world where flapping hands aren't always anxiety, and repetitive humming isn't always distress. The Lurie Center for Autism invites you to join Judith Ursitti, Cofounder and President of Profound Autism Alliance and Brett Mulder, PsyD, for a discussion that delves into the often-misunderstood expressions of happiness in autistic individuals. Through insightful examples and practical strategies, attendees will learn to recognize the unique ways autistic individuals can experience and communicate happiness, fostering a deeper understanding and creating environments that not only accept but actively cultivate autistic joy.
