After Age 22: Preparing for Adult Autism Services

Wednesday, May 20th

6:30pm - 7:30pm

The Lurie Center for Autism invites you to join Amy Levitan, MSW, LICSW, and Judith Ursitti, Co-Founder of the Profound Autism Alliance, for a virtual presentation and discussion. For autistic individuals and their families, service gaps, caregiving demands, and financial strain often begin well before age 22. The transition out of school-based services, commonly referred to as the “services cliff,” can intensify these challenges. Families must navigate limited and fragmented adult systems with little guidance, increasing the risk of isolation and burnout. This presentation will offer practical strategies and expert guidance to help families plan, advocate, and build sustainable supports for the future.
