Bristol, R.I. – Beginning July 10th and running Thursday through Sunday for the following three weekends, Coggeshall Farm Museum in Bristol, R.I. will host the live performance, Fairy Tale Farm. With a map in hand, guests will have the freedom to explore every inch of the Farm as the sun goes down. Hilarity is bound to ensue as characters they thought they’ve known since childhood finally decide to “get real.”
The cast will include Laura Rocklyn as Goldilocks, who is newly engaged to Baby Bear. Bryce Crumlish plays an opinionated third little pig named Vincent. Sleeping Beauty – who has recently awakened in 2021 – is now an Instagram celebrity with many questions and is played by Jade Genga. Alexander Demetrius, (Defending Jacob, Love, Weddings & Other Disasters, Something Wonderful and Doubt. Host of “Puerto Ricans on the Rise”) is “real-boy” Pinocchio, adulting for the first time. The actors also play the roles of Granny Lil, Hansel, Gretel, and Baby Bear, respectively.
Fairy Tale Farm at Coggeshall Farm Museum will also feature music by Briana White, an acoustic/pop musician from Providence, R.I. Using her guitar as both a string and percussion instrument, she creates unique harmonies and rhythms that are sure to lend a unique quality to the performance.
This immersive theatrical experience, custom created for the museum, is created by writer and director, P.J. Griffith, in partnership with ClockJack Productions, whose credits include Nevermore: The Fantastic Terrors of Edgar Allan Poe (performed at Old Sturbridge Village and Coggeshall Farm Museum).
The evening also features activities for all ages, including a StoryWalk®, a great way to enjoy Coggeshall’s outdoor site and read a classic children’s book at the same time,
wand and crown making, games and activities, a fairy tale garden kit, and refreshments from Gnarly Vines Farm food truck. Experience theater as you never have before. Tickets on sale now at Coggeshall Farm Museum.
In addition, Coggeshall Farm Museum will have altered hours of operation during the run of Fairy Tale Farm. It will be open 1:00 – 4:00 pm, close 4:00 – 5:00 pm, then re-open for the program 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Coggeshall will also honor reciprocal membership with its sister museum and managing partner, Old Sturbridge Village (OSV).
