Important Points to Remember:

  • Monitor your child closely:

Watch for any signs of illness, including fever, cough, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, and keep your child home if they are exhibiting any of these symptoms.

  • Hygiene practices:

Encourage frequent handwashing with soap and water, especially after using the restroom and before eating.

  • Stay home if sick:

If your child is unwell, please keep them home until they are fever-free and vomiting-free for 24 hours without medication and other symptoms have significantly improved.

  • Contact your doctor:

If you are concerned about your child's symptoms, consult their healthcare provider for diagnosis and treatment.

Don’t forget to notify the school regarding your child’s absence - email braattendance@hpisd.org.

We are taking proactive measures to maintain a healthy environment in the school by increasing sanitation efforts and reminding students about proper hygiene practices.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school nurse at 214-780-3220 if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Taylor Pickford, RN
