Cole Needed Heart Surgery

Newborn Cole was in the hospital withdrawing from drugs when doctors diagnosed a life-threatening heart defect. With his mother at drug treatment, Cole's grandmother agreed to take on his complex care. For the next year, Cole's advocate Leslie walked the family through the child welfare system, offering support at every turn and even waiting in the hospital waiting room as Cole's doctors tried to repair his heart.

"AT&T, Goldman Sachs and Pioneer set a new standard for corporate partnerships, and the children of Dallas are the direct beneficiaries of their incredible commitment."  Read more at The Dallas Morning News .
