COMMUNITY OUTREACH SUMMARY

The community has been instrumental in providing feedback that has helped shape the latest preferred master plan concept for Coleman Community Park. Coleman Park is a 70-acre, mostly undeveloped community park site located on the east side of Colorado Springs, near the intersection of Tutt Boulevard and Barnes Road. More than 100 engaged residents attended and provided input at the first Community Forum in April; with another 75 engaged residents attending and providing input at the second Community Forum in September. In addition, 985 people provided initial input to the online survey #1 over a six-week period about park elements, and another 198 responded to the online survey #2, over a 2-3 week period about the three varying site layout alternatives and park amenities, with community question responses posted on the project page in a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) format.
