Dear Chamber Leaders and Community Leaders,


The Colerain Chamber of Commerce continues to provide quality programs and events, opportunities to give back to the community, and connections to area businesses. This is evident as you scroll through the many sections of our lengthy newsletter below. 


I have recommended first scanning the newsletter for highlights using the sub-logos for each group or event of interest. Women often gravitate to our Women's Network luncheon, and salespeople look for the highlight about the next Sales Summit. Those interested in our green initiatives often glance through looking for the next Team Up To Green Up event and of course, our Third Thursday networking event is always on...yep...the Third Thursday of the month. 🙂


With new events and activities planned, some of our members read every word, including my quips and tales generally shared in this section. Today, I could write about Opening Day or the Spring flowers blooming, but I'll keep my words brief so that you can focus on the important information below.

Nate's Toy Box

Nate’s Toy Box was created in memory of Nathan Schroeder. Nate’s deep love for children, reading, and of course toys, inspired this heartfelt mission that continues to bring smiles to hundreds of local kids every year.

Since its founding in 2006, Nate’s Toy Box has been dedicated to providing toys and comfort items at Christmas and throughout the year to children from families facing hardship or crisis. In partnership with S.O.N. Ministries, the Northwest Local School District, local first responders, and a network of generous churches, businesses, and individuals, the organization identifies families in need and delivers joy right when it's needed most.



In 2016, Nate’s Toy Box launched a literacy initiative that adds age-appropriate books to each child’s gifts, helping promote positive early reading experiences. With strong collaboration from local partners like Clippard Family YMCA, Side by Side Ministry, and many others, the impact continues to grow.



Thanks to the incredible support of the community, Nate’s Toy Box was able to provide gifts to 772 children this past year.

CHAMBER GOLF LEAGUE


WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16TH,

The Colerain Chamber of Commerce Golf League meets each Wednesday for social golf in a competitive 9 hole format; men and women are encouraged to play.


The league will for 18 weeks at Pebble Creek Golf Course (front 9 one week, back 9 the next) with tee times beginning around 4:45pm each Wednesday. We have been able to expand the league to accommodate play to 20 players.   


In addition to weekly regular players, additional players will be able to sign up as weekly "alternate" positions that will be assigned based on available week to week. Every skill level is welcome, this is social completion with play intended to meet each playing level.

Beers & Biz is a monthly B2B Networking event that includes monthly topical roundtable discussions and open networking.


Roundtable Discussions are broken into primary areas of leadership roles and function and are designed to be topical discussions facilitated by a local leader in each group. These groups are great opportunities for peer-to-peer engagement, sharing of industry best practices, and real-time learnings and struggles of currently relevant topics.

While Beer & Biz is not hosted by the Colerain Chamber, Dave serves on the steering committee and we are glad to support this opportunity for our members to connect, network, and engage with business professionals from across the city in a fresh, dynamic setting. The location changes monthly, and we will update our monthly calendar.

The discussion centered around “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥-𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞” 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬. Our panel did a fantastic job shedding light on the challenges many women face and provided thoughtful advice and resources.

Team Up To Green Up Efforts- The cold couldn’t stop our dedicated volunteers! They worked hard to clean up litter in front of Northgate Mall. 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠! This spring, a beautiful mural will be installed along the front of the mall, and we’re making sure the area is clean and ready for this exciting transformation

Third Thursday Networking at Ashley Furniture Homestore Colerain was a success! It was the perfect location to connect, mingle, and browse their beautiful showroom. EXCITING NEWS!

The Colerain Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, in conjunction with the Chamber's Team Up to Green Up initiative, has received approval from ODOT for its mural project to beautify Colerain Avenue near Northgate Mall between Longhorn Steakhouse and Panda Express. Designed by Colerain High School alum and professional muralist Brian Beck, the mural will celebrate our community’s natural heritage with vibrant pollinators, native wildflowers, and a majestic bald eagle honoring our Veterans Memorial.



Sponsors of $250 or more will be entered into a drawing to participate in the final brushstroke ceremony in Spring 2025, recognized in mural publicity, and receive four commemorative T-shirts.
