CHAMBER UPDATES | June 30, 2026

Dear Chamber Members and Friends of the Chamber,

I am still feeling the incredible energy from our Hometown Hero event on June 18. Gathering together to honor former Cincinnati Bengal Ken Anderson was a spectacular milestone for us, but if I am being entirely honest, the evening left an impact on me that stretched far beyond just a successful chamber turnout.

Like many of you, I’ve spent years admiring what Ken accomplished on the football field. He’s a true legend. But as I listened to him speak and reflected on his journey, I found myself thinking less about his athletic stats and much more about what he chose to do after the stadium lights went down. When Ken founded the Ken Anderson Alliance, he chose to leverage his platform to build a more inclusive world for adults with disabilities. He looked at his community, saw a massive, unfilled need, and decided to do something deeply meaningful with his life.

It got me thinking about our roles as local business leaders and professionals.

Business is undeniably the heartbeat of our community. It creates jobs, drives innovation, and builds the economic foundation we all stand on. But if our vision stops at economic success, we are missing the bigger picture. True community is about outreach. It’s about blending commerce with compassion.

Ken’s example is a call to action for all of us to get to know our neighbors, to truly learn about the community we operate in, and to step up to help fill the needs around us. When we blend business with genuine outreach, we aren’t just making a living, we are making a meaningful life. We are building a stronger community for our businesses, organizations, families, churches and schools to thrive!

Ken Anderson found his 'meaningful life' by filling a hidden need in our community. What is a need you've noticed in your neck of the woods, and how can the Chamber help you connect with the right partners to fill it? I would love to hear from you via email: president@colerainchamber.org or by phone: 513-923-5036.

I want to extend a thank you to our current members and our Sustaining Sponsors. Your dedication, your resilience, and your heart are what make our community such a vibrant place to live and work. We see this spirit in action every single month across our calendar. Whether it is the inspiring synergy and empowerment at our Women’s Networking events, the vibrant connections made during our Third Thursday gatherings, or the casual, collaborative energy of our Off the Clock Collective and Golf League meetups, you all consistently show up for one another. That engagement is where the real magic happens. Our Chamber businesses don't operate on islands; you actively choose to buy local, partner up, and work closely with fellow Chamber businesses to lift each other up. It is this interlocked network of mutual support that turns a standard business community into a true family.

And if you are a local business owner or organizational leader who hasn't yet joined our ranks, we invite you to pull up a chair. Come be a part of a network that cares just as much about building up our neighbors as we do about building up our bottom lines. Together, we are achieving something truly lasting.

Warmly,

Kerri Robers

DATE CHANGE!

Our Mural Clean-Up is moving to the 2nd Monday of each month at 5:00 PM. Join us on July 13th as we work together to keep this community landmark looking its best.

We're also excited to share that Team Up to Green Up will be taking over the care and maintenance of the flower beds at the Ronald Reagan/Colerain Avenue and

I-275/Colerain Avenue interchanges. These beautiful community spaces were originally created and maintained by the Colerain Community Association, and we look forward to meeting with the Association in July to discuss the transition and continue their great work.

As we prepare for a community-wide revitalization project this October, we're seeking support from local businesses, organizations, and volunteers.

Donations Needed by Mid-September:

  • Monetary contributions
  • Mulch
  • Topsoil
  • Plants
  • Perennial flowers

The original gardens were built through the generosity of community members, many of whom shared plants from their own gardens. We welcome donations of any size—whether it's a truckload of mulch or a single unused bag sitting in your garage. Every contribution helps make a difference!

We're also looking for volunteer groups, including:

  • Youth groups
  • Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops
  • Sports teams
  • Service organizations and community groups

This is a wonderful opportunity for a fall service project that will leave a lasting impact on our community.

If you would like to donate materials, make a contribution, or volunteer your group, please contact us: President@colerainchamber.org or info@colerainchamber.org. Together, we can keep Colerain beautiful!

RIBBON CUTTINGS

Our scissors got quite a workout this month! We had the pleasure of celebrating three exciting ribbon cuttings across the community. From the grand opening at Burlington, to the breathtaking White Barn & Blooms lavender farm and venue, to the official opening of the Colerain Booster Association's brand-new fieldhouse. It's always exciting to celebrate the businesses, organizations, and projects that make Colerain such a special place. Of course, Bizzy couldn't miss out on all the fun!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT...

The Hometown Hero Event was an outstanding evening of connection, celebration, and community spirit. Guests gathered at Willow Event Center to recognize Ken Anderson and honor the positive impact he continues to make through the Ken Anderson Alliance.

We are grateful to our sponsors, volunteers, attendees, and community partners whose support made the event possible. Special thanks to LOCAL 12's Meghan Mongillo for leading the program and helping create an engaging and memorable experience for everyone.

Events like this are a wonderful reminder of what makes our community strong. People coming together to support worthy causes, build relationships, and celebrate those who make a difference. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a meaningful success!

Thank you to Chamber member MyFitness Suites for welcoming us for our June Women's Networking lunch and providing an inside look at the many ways they can help you prioritize your health and wellness. Go check it out for yourself!

Creativity was flowing at our recent Off the Clock Collective! Chamber member Art on Fire helped us tap into our artistic side as we enjoyed an evening of mosaic making, delicious snacks, plenty of laughter, and great conversation. It was the perfect mix of networking, creativity, and fun. And everyone left with a unique masterpiece to take home!
