CHAMBER UPDATES | JUNE 1, 2026 | | |
Happy Summer, Chamber Friends,
It’s official: school is out, the sunscreen is flowing, and the temptation to answer every email with an automated "Out of Office: Chasing the Ice Cream Truck" is at an all-time high. But while local students are celebrating a well-deserved break from the books, we in the business world know that the hustle never takes a summer vacation. The work must continue, and honestly, it's a lot more fun when we do it together.
Whether you are a seasoned member or someone looking from the sidelines wondering if you should finally dive in, summer is the perfect season to look at what Chamber membership actually does for you. To keep it simple (because nobody wants to read a heavy manual in 90-degree weather), let's break down the true value of membership:
-
S - Strategic Networking: We connect you with the exact people who can help your business grow. Think of it like a backyard barbecue, but instead of trading burger recipes, you’re trading high-value referrals and professional partnerships.
-
U - Unbeatable Visibility: From our community-wide digital platforms to local business spotlights, we keep your brand front and center. We make sure the community notices your business even when they are half-distracted planning their next weekend getaway.
-
M - Marketing Muscle: Small businesses wear a lot of hats, and marketing can feel like pushing a boulder uphill in flip-flops. We amplify your promotional campaigns and give your upcoming events the megaphone they deserve.
-
M - Mentorship & Advocacy: The Chamber stands in your corner. We provide the resources, professional strategy, and collective voice to make sure your business interests are fully protected.
-
E - Exclusive Perks & Savings: Membership unlocks real, bottom-line discounts on insurance, office resources and regional merchant services. It's like a VIP savings pass that pays for your membership all by itself.
-
R - Robust Community Impact: We join hands to support local high school initiatives, foster commercial growth, and create a thriving ecosystem where families (and crazy mascot salamanders), want to live, work, and play.
So, while the kids are practicing their cannonballs at the local pool, let’s make sure your business is making its own big splash. If you’re already a member, thank you for keeping our economy hot. If you haven't joined yet, consider this your official invitation to jump into the deep end with us, the water is fine, the AC is on, and the opportunities are wide open.
Wishing you a safe, profitable, and beautifully sunny season ahead!

| | | | WELCOME TO THE CHAMBER, MEGAN | |
My name is Megan Wissel and I’m excited to join the Chamber as the Membership and Administrative Coordinator, and serve a community that has meant so much to me throughout my life. I grew up here, graduated from Colerain High School, started my career here, and raised my family here. I spent 17 years teaching in the district at Weigel and Struble Elementaries. My children are the fifth generation in my family to attend Colerain schools. My two oldest have graduated from Colerain High School, and my youngest just finished 4th grade, which makes this community especially meaningful to our family.
More recently, I’ve served as the Next Gen Director at Whitewater Crossing Christian Church, where I provided overall leadership and supervision for the kids, youth, and young adult ministries, including oversight of curriculum, volunteer teams, parent engagement, and community connection.
Over the years, I’ve been grateful for the chance to volunteer, work alongside incredible people, and experience firsthand what makes this community so special. I’m passionate about giving back to a place I love and helping it continue to grow, thrive, and shine as the wonderful community I know it is. I look forward to connecting with and serving the people and businesses that make this area so special.
