CHAMBER UPDATES | May 31, 2024 | |
Chamber Leaders-
Last month our graphic cartoon depicting a tough looking guy with a baseball bat was met with some criticism, not enough to deter me from my message in addressing business challenges head on. I wasn't suggesting that you should create collection tactics like "Guido" if you were struggling with A/R issues; hopefully that was not your take-away from that newsletter.
As you know, I'm a baseball enthusiast and with our Vintage baseball game coming up on July 4th (noon at Colerain Park) the graphic here seemed more harmless, wouldn't you agree? Although they did not use gloves back in 1869, some might say our current Reds aren't using bats either, but I won't go there in this message.
What I will say is that you need to "catch" our upcoming Leadership Summit on Wednesday, June 12th at 8:30am via Zoom. It will be hosted by Randy Wheeler who will be showing a John C. Maxwell video which will foreshadow the upcoming Live2Lead program on October 15th at Mercy West Hospital. If you are interested in furthering your business leadership skills and learning from one of the best, don't miss the upcoming Leadership Summit. Additional details and a registration link is included below.
The Hometown Hero is just two weeks away and I hope you have your ticket secured for this once in a lifetime event; well, once a year anyway! We will be celebrating by recognizing 13 area veterans (yes, 13 veterans on June 13th) and will have amazing food trucks, bourbon tasting from area favorite, Boone County Distillery, and a wheelbarrow of cheer. Snobug will again be on hand, we'll have games, raffle baskets, an incredible list of silent auction items, music, Rocky Boiman as our emcee, and how can we leave out a phenomenal venue like the Willow Event Center? Please come out to Connect, Support, and Celebrate across Colerain.
Thanks.

You can find the book at the link contained in the book graphic. We will spend the remainder of the time thinking together about how to apply some of the principles John shares.
