Biograf�a

Conformado por jovenes nacidos en Chicago este grupo nos 

remite a la atinada y fruct�fera combinaci�n del son 

veracruzano (jarocho), con el viento de resistencia e 

identidad mexicana y chicana, en esta ciudad de intensos 

jarochos y jaraneros, que es Chicago (rebautizada por tanto

como Jaro-Chicago). Una fiesta sonera del fandango 

profundo nos invita a zapatear con fervor, al escuchar el 

amplio repertorio con que Jarochicanos contribuye a la 

imparable celebraci�n de nuestra ra�z cultural.

JAROCHICANOS plays music of the son jarocho folk tradition, as 

created through centuries of cultural fusion with Indigenous, Spanish, 

Arabic and African people in mostly southern Veracruz, M�xico. Jarochicanos incorporates the traditional fandango elements - handmade acoustic instruments, poetry, wit and wisdom in lyrics, and the tarima wooden platform, for the zapateado to flourish. 

And our special guests! "The Socialists"

 The Socialists are a family band composed of 3 sisters, 1 brother, and 1 father. They believe spending family time together does not always have to be boring. Currently they play rock covers of various bands.  The Socialists are called The Socialists because every band member is equal. As a result every band member drums, sings, plays guitar, and keyboard.

 After featured performance FANDANGO will start, so bring your stomping  shoes, jarana, guitar or any other instrument and participate with us!!!
