LGE Class XXVIII Spotlight
Hometown: Enid, Oklahoma
Family: I celebrated my 17th year of marriage this year. I have two boys ages 14 and 16. We currently have 8 pets: 3 dogs and 5 cats.
Occupation/Profession: I am a Pharmacist at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. I also work some relief at Family Pharmacy Enid's three locations. I make IV's, mix Chemotherapy, order entry, and help dose antibiotics as well as narrow therapeutic medications like Coumadin.
What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?: Always be yourself!
What qualities do you look for in a leader?: My ideal leader is logical, decisive, and steadfast.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?: Finding the things my wife loses.
Favorite thing about Enid: My favorite thing about Enid is it has a small town feel with big city events and activities.

Hometown: Stillwater, Oklahoma
Family: I have been single since my three children were 8 and 5 (twins). They each have beautiful families and are passionate about their lives. I am raising my oldest, soon to be 11 years old, grandson, Jaden, and have had legal guardianship of him since he was 12 months old. In addition, I have 3 granddaughters and 2 other grandsons. My oldest son and his family live in Omaha, NE and my twins live here in Enid. I was born and raised in Stillwater, graduated from OSU (I bleed ORANGE) and raised my kids in Tulsa, where we lived for 19 years. When Jaden came to live with me, it was a pivotal point in my life. I had an opportunity to live a lifelong dream of living on the beach, so he and I packed up, left Tulsa and moved to the tiny island of Pass-A-Grille Beach, Florida. We were there until we returned to Oklahoma and Enid, to be near my son Teague (and my momma in Stillwater) in December of 2016. We have a black Maltipoo we rescued from Florida Small Dog Rescue, whose name is Norman. read that correctly! Lol! When we found out his name was Norman, I told Jaden we would change his name...that Norman just didn't seem like a name for a dog. However, at 5 years old, Jaden said. "but YaYa, that's his name already!" So Norman it remained. (It NEVER entered my mind the association of the city back home!) Until, after our announcement on social media of getting Norman, my friends and family back home protested, hackled and were appalled we would have a dog named Norman! So be it...he is Norman AND it fits him! He DOES wear an orange bandana! Go Pokes!
Occupation/Profession: Through the Dana Bickford Group, LLC, I guide people experiencing life transitions, so they can move through and to the "other side" with clarity, purpose, and confidence.
What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?: Be YOU, everyone else is taken!
What qualities do you look for in a leader?: Authentic, Relational, Integrity, Trustworthy, Belief & Encouragement in others and their dreams.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?: Building genuine, authentic relationships.
Favorite thing about Enid: The people here are, by far, THE FRIENDLIEST of anywhere I have ever lived!
