Mommy and Me Mosaic Class
Week of July 30th - Aug. 3rd
3:30 - 5:30 P.M
Cost: $135.00 each person
Teacher: Laurie Dunham
In this class you'll learn how to use all of the stained glass tools, and create a unique design using bits and pieces of colorful stained glass, mirror and glass nuggets. You will work together to create a one of a kind mosaic project. I'll have a variety of bases for you to choose from. I'll also help you choose a grout color that will make your colors POP!
Mommy and Me Watercolor
Monday July 30th from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $40.00 for Mom and child
Additional child $15.00
Have fun creating a one of a kind watercolor painting with your child. Get time to learn techiques that you can do at home together.

Use collage to clarify and design the life you dream about. No need to be an artist. Let go of what is practical and reasonable and connect emotionally to what excites you in life. Dream Big!!! Often jobs, family, friends and just life causes us to lose pieces of ourselves - well, Reclaim those lost pieces of yourself and get excited about a new future. Bring your own wine and snack. Materials are supplied but we would encourage you to bring any personal items you wish to include in your collage.

CAMP INSTRUCTORS ARE PROFESSIONAL AND CERTIFIED K-12 ART, PHOTOGRAPHY AND COMPUTER TEACHERS
If your child is taking a morning and afternoon classes, then please prepare your child with a bag lunch and have them bring a reading book, computer game, drawing pad and pencils or outdoor game. They will have some free time after they eat their lunch before starting the afternoon camp.
WEEKLY CAMP COST
10 hours (2 hours each day) Monday - Friday $150.00
20 - 25 hours (4 - 5 hours each day) Monday - Friday $300.00
30 - 35 hours (6 to 7 hours each day) Monday - Friday $400.00
40 - 45 hours (8 -9 hours each day) Monday - Friday $450.00

Is your child REALLY interested in playing on the computer? Would you like to channel screen time in a creative direction this summer? At Colleen Cassidy's, we have set up a brand new summer schedule-where Digital meets Art: Computer Camp! Teacher Elisabeth Rusling, an experienced Design and Visual Communications teacher, certified in Sarasota, has developed a series of fun digital projects meant to be created on the computer, using Adobe Photoshop and Flash software.
Campers will design greeting cards, retouch old photos, draw animations and explore outrageous lettering styles. Each project will be taught in simple-to-follow steps, but the final results will please and amaze you, and provide hours of fun and learning for your child. Each student must bring their own laptop, notebook, pen and mouse. Digital cameras are good to bring, but are optional. A CD will be provided as part of the class, containing tutorials and reference material. Projects may be printed out in color for an additional $10 fee.
Digital Photography and Photoshop Lightroom Camp

Digital Photography Camp- Are you just starting out or looking to learn more about your camera and what it can do for you? We'll cover everything from initial camera settings, portraits, action, pet, and abstract photography. You'll get to know your camera's capabilities combined with specific shooting techniques - culminating in better photos.
Then we'll develop our images in Photoshop LIGHTROOM. Lightroom is a photographer friendly virtual darkroom and transforms your good photos to great! (Suitable for framing)

Nature Alive Camp

Students will gain a greater appreciation of the world around them as they focus on the shapes, colors, and textures of their environment. They will create an insect drawing, an encaustic nature scene, a landscape painting, a leaf print, and a floral paper sculpture. All materials and tools are provided.
"Bits and Pieces" Mosaic Frame Camp
Ages 7 - 12
Week of July 30 to August 3
1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Teacher: Laurie Dunham
In this class we'll be using bits and pieces of stained glass in a rainbow of colors to create a one of a kind mosaic frame. We'll also add glass gems and bits of mirror for added sparkle. This is an easy class for beginners, as most of the cutting and breaking has already been done for you. You can create a geometric design with swirls and shapes or create your own unique design. You'll learn how to use the glass cutters, nippers and breaker pliers, and also how to choose the right grout color to make your colors POP!

In this class students will learn about the animals of the rain forest and create a variety of paintings of these animals in their habitat

Students will have an opportunity to use various media as they create three-dimensional art forms. Projects included are a ceramic wall plaque, a found object piece in the style of Louise Nevelson, fantasy animals using wood, a sculptural Styrofoam piece with the look of stone, and more! All materials are included.
Animal Collage
Week of August 6 - 10
1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Teacher - Joanne Healey
Have fun using images of animals or one animal and create an exciting mixed media collage. Bring along your favorite photos or pictures of animals you love and cherish or use what we provide. Learn aspects composition, color, texture, light direction and design and find your connection with the media used along with the chosen animal figure(s). Enhance your ability to see, by using various papers and media to sculpt an artistic rendition.
