Hello
CDN Update

I’m delighted to welcome you to the first Update Newsletter of the 2018-19 session.

We’ve hit the ground running with an exciting line up of development activity and opportunities for all college staff – which includes the strategic leadership programme for Principals, delivered by Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford; a national conference on the teaching of languages in colleges; and Teaching in Colleges Today, a popular online course which is currently being updated. Take a look at our website for a range of further professional development opportunities.

Finally, don’t miss the opportunity to participate in the final consultation on the Professional Standards, announced by previous Minister for Further Education, Higher Education and Science, Shirley-Anne Somerville MSP at College Expo18 in June. The online survey is open until Friday 12 October.

Please, as ever, don’t hesitate to contact me if you wish to discuss any aspect of our work: jim.metcalfe@cdn.ac.uk
