Can you believe Labor Day Weekend is just a few days away? Even more, college football is here!!! I'm not sure there's anyone more excited about college football kicking off than our daughter, Grace (a senior at Berry College). I mean, I get excited, too (don't get me wrong)! :)
Grace gets excited because she LOVES cheering on the Florida Gators (my alma mater) and the Berry Vikings, but the main thing Grace loves is sitting out in our "garage cave" watching games on the big screen, having friends and neighbors drop by, and just hanging out. Laura and I love that, too. Micah pretty much would rather play on his XBOX with friends, but he hangs out a bit, too. :) This really is our favorite time of the year!
That being said, if you have some open space in your afternoon this Saturday, Sept. 5, feel free to bring your tailgate chairs, any favorite beverages and snacks, and drop by between 3pm - 7pm. If it's too hot, we can go inside, too.
We'd love for you to come hang out with us (and whoever else may be here). Stay 20-30 minutes or for a few hours. You don't have to like football, but if you do, here's the slate of 3:30pm games we'll be watching...

Good News Church sponsors the Lanier High School Girls' Softball Team, and THIS Thursday, Sept. 3rd (5:30pm) is Senior Night for our LHS Lady Longhorns Softball Team! So, come help us cheer on and celebrate the seniors (including our own, Lacey Campbell)! The game is at Lanier High School. Tickets are $9 each. The vision of Good News Church GA is "to experience and express LOVE from God to others." The verse that undergirds our vision is Galatians 5:6b, “The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.” We value people, community, relationships, prayer, and Bible reading. We also value being able to be yourself. We’re all struggling with something, so there’s no need to pretend that we have it all together.
The mission of Good News Church GA is "to connect with people and build relationships through community workshops, neighborhood-focused ministry, serving local needs, mentoring, and worship."
