On February 26 and 27, College Now Greater Cleveland and Higher Education Compact staff members Kittie Warshawsky and Margie Glick were among the approximately 150 NCAN members and students who gathered in Washington, DC, as part of the National College Access Network's Hill Day, which focuses on advocacy training and enables meetings with lawmakers and Capitol Hill staff. Their message: Congress can help historically underrepresented students access and succeed in higher education.

Kittie and Margie, along with several College Now scholarship recipients who attend Howard University, had a chance to discuss issues related to college access, affordability, and more with the offices of Senators Rob Portman and Sherrod Brown and Representatives Marcia Fudge, Marcy Kaptur, and Tim Ryan.
