NEW SEC STUDY SKILLS PROGRAM
This summer two of our Study Skills Specialists, Adam and Allison, rewrote our Study Skills program.  It still is a total of four semi-private hours preceded by a free Study Skills assessment and Learning Styles Assessment, but it now has a stronger writing, planning, test preparation, note taking and memorization skills emphasis.

A follow on program has also been designed to ensure accountability and skill implementation.  This additional 8 homework support sessions helps the students develop their new learned study skills into HABITS.  Several additional tutors are now available to teach the study skills curriculum including: Rob, Katie, Cynthia, Victoria, Brandon and Jim, in addition to Allison and Adam.

This program was highly requested and provided substantial successes last year.
  • FREE (1 hour) assessment and consultation
  • 4 Study Skills semi-private tutoring sessions: $180 plus $40 registration fee if not paid yet during the school year.
  • Recommended 8 sessions of homework support:  $200 ($25 per hour semi-private session) plus registration fee if not yet paid for the school year.
  • SEC is also providing a 2015-2016 school year planner for the Study Skills program.
  • Follow-up weekly email communication with parent .

SEC Expands Into New Space

We have started using our new/additional space for classes and tutors.  We have added approximately 1200 square feet.  More room to spread out!

It is located just around the corner on the sidewalk of our main lobby in what use to be the Jordano's Retail space.  Just about 25 yards away.

Great for our testing events and OLD and NEW SAT/ACT/PSAT/HSPT classes.
