In 2019, Governors State University will celebrate 50 years of service in providing accessible quality education. The College of Business invites you to be part of this 18-month long celebration of the accomplishments of our students, faculty, and alumni.

I’m also excited to report that we are planning to launch a new graduate program in Fall 2019 (pending final HLC approval): Master of Science in Human Resource Management. As the only MS in HRM program offered by an Illinois public university in the Chicagoland, this program will offer best value to individuals who aspire to pursue a career in the human resource management field. Business Week 2019
Governors State University, College of Business is excited to present our inaugural business week event.  The three day program is designed to offer engaging professional networking and learning opportunities to the College’s key stakeholders - businesses, students, alumni and the community. Your participation will assist in delivering value to each . For this event we have procured top global speakers to connect and engage our students, alumni, corporate partners and public Leaders. Rita Gunther McGrath is an American strategic management scholar and professor of management at the Columbia Business School. She is known for her work on strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship, including the development of discovery-driven planning.
Billy Dexter is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles' Chicago office and the Americas regional diversity leader. He co-leads the Diversity Advisory Services Practice that assists clients in creating diverse leadership teams. Billy works across all industry and functional groups in developing inclusive solutions as it relates to talent acquisition and leadership development.
NEW- Nominate an outstanding alumni

During Business Week 2019, GSU's College of Business will induct alumni into the inaugural GSU College of Business Alumni Hall of Achievement . We are calling on alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the college to submit your nominations of a deserving alumni . You are invited to submit nominations via the online nomination form .

Submissions are due by April 30, 2019. Winners will be acknowledged at the Business Week 2019 dinner at the Odyssey on Sept 25, 2019.
