COMPLETE YOUR FAFSA FIRST
Finishing your FAFSA form is the first step to get financial aid.
It must be completed to receive federal, student aid.

All applicants for any Maryland grants and scholarships must:
- be a Maryland resident and have parents who are also residents
- enroll in a 2 or 4 year Maryland college or university
- be seeking a degree and enrolled full or part time
- complete the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need
- fulfill the specific requirements for every grant or scholarship
- complete the FAFSA and meet specific income requirements
- have a GPA of 2.5 unweighted
- maximum award amount of $18,600/year
- complete the FAFSA and meet specific income requirements
- award amount $400-$3,000/year
- complete the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need
- must take the SAT or ACT
- award amount is $400 to $11,800/year
- complete the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need

2. After verifying your eligibility, apply for as many scholarships as you can between January 15th through February 15th.
3. Take a screenshot or photo of your submission's confirmation email or your completed application.
4. Email wheaton@collegetracksusa.org with a document that includes your name, scholarship name, link for the scholarship, and proof of submission between February 16th until February 18th at noon.
5. Winners will be notified on February 22st.

Okhi B.
Okhi and his mom, Michele, have worked together and completed his college applications and FAFSA. Her support has been important to Okhi's success.
1. What are your college plans?
"I would like to study culinary arts and I hope to go to Johnson and Wales!"
2. How has your mom's support helped as you apply and get financial aid for college?
"My mom is a single parent and works hard. She helped me when things got stressful when I was doing my FAFSA."
3. Okhi's advice for parents of CollegeTracks scholars: "Don't wait until your kid's senior year to do everything. Things get hectic."
4. Okhi's advice for CollegeTracks juniors: "Get all the stuff you can get done in your junior year. Naviance and FAFSA forms take forever."
