Topeka Collegiate families and friends,

We made it! October is nearly over, and that means the end for the promotional portion of SOAR, this year’s Annual Fund campaign. Though you may not see any more letters coming home, or social media posts, the opportunity for giving lasts throughout the school year. Yes, you read that correctly. Though we won’t be actively campaigning, the Annual Fund will continue to accept pledges and gifts paid by May 17, 2023 to count towards this year's campaign.

As the only independent college preparatory school in Shawnee County, we rely on the Annual Fund to provide our children the best educational experience possible. There is no greater example as to what Topeka Collegiate has to offer than what occurred earlier this week. On October 24th, a reception was held at Washburn University recognizing the top 10% of the senior class from each of the high schools in the county. Topeka Collegiate was extremely well represented at the reception, with 90% of our 2019 graduating class recognized for their achievements. The proof is in the pudding!

This is it, the last pitch. Here is what we need you to do. Have a conversation with your child, or if you have multiple that attend Topeka Collegiate l, have a conversation with your children. Listen to them. Really listen to what they have to say. Ask about their hopes, their dreams. Look at them. Look deeply into their eyes, and see them. Witness their achievements, and see their untapped potential. Become inspired. Manifest that inspiration into action, give!

On behalf of our family, we want to sincerely thank you for allowing us to serve as your Annual Fund Co-chairs again this year.

Regards,

Grady and Lizzi Woodruff

Mark Your Calendar!

I have cherished being part of Topeka Collegiate’s community for 20 years. Every year we put on performances to showcase your student’s musical creativity, and every year I find something new and special to love about each of them. Topeka Collegiate encourages kids to explore their talents and fosters a love of learning starting in Early Childhood. The Annual Fund helps ensure kids always have music to fill their souls and the best teachers to touch their lives. - Mrs. Siebert on the impact the Annual Fund makes to Topeka Collegiate students.

Working at Topeka Collegiate has allowed me to be a coach, mentor, and teacher in a way that would not be possible without the support of the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund helps ensure Topeka Collegiate hires and retains the best teachers to be part of your student's lives from PreKindergarten-8th grade. It also ensures I can continue my “best-supporting actor” cameo roles in all the school assemblies for years to come! - Mr. Drane on how the Annual Fund helps ensure Topeka Collegiate retain the best teachers!
