Based on the temperatures this week it's clear that summer is not relinquishing its grip on us yet. But signs of the coming fall season are all around us here at the nursery, so it won't be too long before we get some relief. Take a look below at what's in store for late summer, and stop by soon to see all of the new plants that have arrived recently.

What's In Store for Late Summer
Mums
It's no secret that mum's the word for September! Our first big shipment arrived this week and we'll have our best selection over the next month. Several sizes and colors are available now.
Fresh Annuals
If your garden is in need of a refresh after this hot summer you're not alone. We have a completely fresh stock of annuals to get you through until pansy-planting time!
Herbs
After a couple of months of slim pickings we've finally gotten a new shipment of herbs including basil, dill, fennel, lemon grass, mint, oregano, parsley, rosemary, sage and thyme.
Perennials
Some gorgeous perennials came off the trucks this week and most of them are budded and blooming (much to the delight of the beautiful butterflies we've been seeing). Asters, black-eyed Susans and coneflowers (among others) will put on a show in your garden this fall and return next year to do the same!
Shrubs
We're bulking up our shrub inventory for the fall planting season! Come by the nursery to peruse our selection and get ideas for your landscaping projects. Some standouts in the shrub yard currently include abelia, butterfly bush, sun hydrangeas and snowball viburnum. Trees
We recently received a shipment of large trees that will give you a good head start on creating shade or a focal point in your landscape: Heritage River Birch, Autumn Gold Ginkgo, Teddy Bear Magnolia, Eastern Redbud, Autumn Brilliance Serviceberry and Grace Smoke Tree are all in 15 gallon pots for $169 each.
