Collingwood Downtown is pleased to announce the second annual Collingwood Fashion Week – October 3rd to 8th in heart of Collingwood’s Historic Downtown.The Fashion Week line-up includes in-store Fashion Shows, Designer Trunk Shows, make up and styling tips and elevated shopping experiences. Orange Shirt Day Sacred Fire Gathering September 30th
In honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day) September 30th, the Indigenous community is having a Sacred Fire Gathering. Part of reconciliation is providing cultural access because the social systems during the creation of Canada did not allow Indigenous people to practice their language, Spirituality, ceremonies, music and more. Blue Mountain Resort Partners with Community on Understanding Truth and Reconciliation Day Event
The community is invited to a series of education sessions, interactive cultural performances and Indigenous Craft Market on September 30th and October 1st to commemorate Truth and Reconciliation Day. Along with the series of speakers and performers, an Indigenous Craft Market will be set up in the Village Plaza, and the public are invited to help plant 10,028 orange flags to honour the lost children, families, communities, and Survivors of Residential schools.
