ATS receives supplemental grant for Pathways for Tomorrow Initiative

The Association of Theological Schools was recently awarded a six-year supplemental grant of $4.75 million by Lilly Endowment Inc. to further support its coordination work with the Pathways for Tomorrow Initiative. Read more. Listen to more.

This year, ATS began work on an intercultural sensitivity and global awareness training project in conjunction with its member schools. The project focuses on using the Intercultural Development Inventory assessment tool, which aims to help schools equip their faculty and administrative leaders to become more interculturally sensitive and competent. In the summer of 2022, ATS graduates reported the lowest average student loan debt ($34,500) and the lowest percentage of borrowers (35%) in seven years—a $5,000 decrease in average debt and an 18% decrease in borrowers according to the ATS Graduating Student Questionnaires.
