The Marvelous Real
Colombia through the Vision of its Artists
|
"The Marvelous Real: Colombia through the Vision of its Artists," the new exhibition at the Cultural Center of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), is a visual tour that highlights the complexities, challenges and singularities of Colombia through the eyes of several of its most important artists.
The exhibit features 36 pieces by 24 artists including Edgar Negret, Fanny San�n, Enrique Grau, David Manzur and Eduardo Ram�rez Villamizar, among others.

Carnaval of Barranquilla

From the Atlantic Coast of Colombia, the Carnaval Foundation of Barranquilla is bringing 27 dancers, and 65 musicians from the Musical Band of Baranoa to Washington, DC to celebrate their bicentennial and DC debut.
The Carnaval of Barranquilla was proclaimed by UNESCO as one of the World�s Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
